• The first advice is related to the problem presented by other group.

Welcome 2008

Welcome everyone!

2008: A new year that brings new expectancies for you.

I want to introduce this blog, especially to the ones who don't know it.

This site was biult as a compliment of the sessions in the classroom. Here you'll find information, activities and news that help you to improve even more your English skills. There will be homeworks, tasks, projects and pictures of the activities you do in the class.

With this post I want to start with a little task. I want you post writing your expectancies about English and your future. I want to know in which part of your future targets the English language is installed.

You can send the posts up in the language that you feel comfortable...(I'd prefer English, but if for this time English is a barrier to express what you want to say, then say it in Spanish)

Latinoamerican Fair and English Electivers

These are some of the students of the Elective Class who participated in the Latinoamerican Fair 2007 at Liceo Domingo Santa Maria. Their stands and the information of each country were worked, studied and shown with high quality.
Congratulations boys and girls... this was your last activity and you did great.

Visiting the English Corner at Universidad de Tarapaca

Last Thursday, November 23, the twelveth graders from the Elective Class of English visited the American Corner at the Universidad de Tarapacá.
There the senior students could talk with 3 American students who belonged to teh Interchange Program of the University.
The boys and girls had fun talking, telling jokes and even playing cards en English.
We thanks to Larelai Parra to allow having these great experience.

SPEECHES: The most famous songs of all times

Last Wednesday, November 21 the students from Elective Class of English (11th graders) started the sessions of speeches en English. This year the theme was The most famous songs of all times.
The activity consisted in choose one of these songs and read it like a speech, changing the rythm, entonation, stress and sometimes the pronounciation to become the song in a formal discourse.
